Council Bluffs, IA – The Iowa Western Women's basketball team defeated Southeastern Community College last night with a 91-43 victory. The Reivers will advance into the Region XI Tournament semifinals where they will take on Iowa Central. The game will be played at 3:00 pm in Cedar Rapids.

The Reivers defense is what put the game out of reach. The Reivers were able to hold the Blackhawks to just two points in the fourth quarter holding the Southeastern to (0/15) shooting from the field. The staggering defense converted to 26 fourth quarter points on 50% shooting from the field.  

Ndidiamaka Ndukwe could not be stopped in the paint as she led the Reivers with 21 points coupled with 11 rebounds. E'Laiyah Heard added a double-double of her own ending the night with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Hannah Burg and Courtney Fields both added 10 points each and combined for 7 of the 17 assists on the team.

At 1 pm on Sunday, the winner of the Iowa Western and Iowa Central game will take on the winner of the Kirkwood versus NIACC matchup.
