Blakemore and Noti selected for NJCAA All-Star Weekend

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA – On May 20, 2019 the NJCAA Women's Basketball Coaches Association announced the names of 40 student-athletes who were selected to play in the All-Star weekend this summer in Atlanta, Georgia. Amongst these athletes were two Reivers, Sommer Blakemore and Aubri Noti.

The event, scheduled to take place July 19-22, will feature student-athletes from across the Nation who will be entering their sophomore seasons after competing at the NJCAA level during the 18-19 season.

5'6 guard Sommer Blakemore was also selected after a breakout freshman season. Blakemore started in all 32 games and averaged 9.89 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists per game. She shot 34.5% from the three and had a 2 .2 assist/turnover ratio. Blakemore was selected as 1st team All-Region for the 18-19 season. She was also selected as the ICCAC Player of the Week three times. She was a 2nd team academic All-Region student-athlete for the fall 2018 semester. She scored 15+ points in eight games her freshman season and put together her best performance vs. conference rival Northeast (7-9 FG, 5-6 3PFG, and 6 rebounds).

6'0 forward Aubriana Noti was selected after an outstanding freshman season. Noti started in all 32 games her freshman year and was the second leading scorer, averaging 10.9 points per game. She shot 53.8 percent from the field and pulled 9.5 rebounds per game. She was selected as the ICCAC player of the week twice during the 18-19 season. She was a First Team All-Region selection and finished 18th in the Nation for NJCAA D1 defensive rebounds per game and 21st in overall total rebounds for the 18-19 season. She is also an ICCAC Academic All-Region student athlete and earned a perfect 4.0 GPA in the fall semester. She had a career high 17 points on January 9 and career-high rebounds with 18 on November 10. She had an impressive ten double-doubles during her freshman season.
