Three women's basketball players move on to NCAA

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA - After a successful 23-9 season the Iowa Western women's basketball program has announced the signing of three sophomores to move on to play at the NCAA level.

Naomie Alnatas has signed with NCAA Division 1 University of Missouri Kansas City. Originally from French Guiana, Alnatas had a standout freshman season (2017-2018)  with the Reivers.  She averaged 12.8 points per game, shooting 52.2 percent from the field, 40.2 percent from the arc, and 92.6 percent from the free throw line. For her efforts on the court, as a freshman, she was selected to play in the 2018 NJCAA All-Star game last summer.  At the start of the 2018-2019 season Alnatas suffered a season-ending knee injury and was granted a redshirt year. She will have three years of athletic eligibility left at UMKC who competes in the WAC (Western Athletic Conference).

Kiara Dallmann has signed with Big East powerhouse Depaul University. The 6'2 sophomore forward was selected as a third-team NJCAA Division 1 All-American during the 2018-2019 season. She shot an astounding 61.2 percent from the field, which ranked 5th best in the Nation in NJCAA Division 1. Dallmann will leave Iowa Western holding an individual program record for field goal percentage at 70.9 percent, which she set during her freshman season.

Julia Raflund has signed with NCAA Division II Queens University of Charlotte. Raflund, a 6'3 forward from Malmo Sweden, will add length and size to the Royals' Roster. She brings a strong inside presence with the ability to knock down mid-range jumpers. Raflund started in 52 career games as a Reiver and totaled 191 points, shooting 54.9 percent from the field and grabbing 145 rebounds. She scored in double figures during 5 different contests and helped the Reivers win the Region XI Championship this year.
