COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA - Head Coach Lindsey Vande Hoef and the Reiver women's basketball team added three new members for the 2018-2019 season. The early signees continue the successful recruiting tradition of the upper midwest for the Reivers including an in-state addition. "We identified these kids early in the year as not only very talented players but people we wanted to have in our program. Each player gives us length and athleticism on the floor and fits our style of play," said Coach Vande Hoef.

Tiana Ziegler | Guard | Des Moines East High School | Des Moines, IA

Ziegler comes to Iowa Western Des Moines East High School playing for head coach Sam Powell. The 5'7 guard is currently averaging 8.3 points per game while shooting 30.2% from beyond the arc. Coach Vande Hoef on Ziegler: "We are really excited about Tiana's future as a Reiver. She can shoot the three as well as get to the rim off the dribble and will be a great fit in our up-tempo system on both ends plus anytime we can grab local Iowa talent, we need too!"

Ziegler is the daughter of Sam and Harold Clay and Harold Ziegler.

Brina James | Forward | Verona High School | Verona, WI

Just outside of Madison, Wisconsin, James continues the Wisconsin connection that Coach Vande Hoef has cultivated in her home state. James continues to lead her team down the final stretch of the season helping Verona to a 9-9 conference record in the extremely competitive Big Eight conference. "Brina will bring more length to our perimeter play," said Vande Hoef. "She is used to playing inside for her high school team and that toughness will provide valuable on the defensive end next year when she's able to guard multiple positions all over the floor."

Haley Moore | Forward | Cretin-Derham Hall High School | Saint Paul, MN

The 6'1 forward comes to Council Bluffs having played AAU at the highest level traveling on the country playing for 43 Hoops out of Minnesota. Moore is currently averaging 7.3 points per game for Cretin-Derham Hall who is currently 18-4 heading into the postseason. "She is a great athlete that can play multiple positions for us" said Vande Hoef. "Her best basketball is ahead of her. Haley's presence and toughness on the floor will make her a great fit for us."

Moore is the daughter of Colin and Mary Moore.
