COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA - Iowa Western Women's basketball reached two milestones this past Wednesday in a win over Southeast (NE) 98-70. The victory was their 11th in a row and their 500th win as a program since playing it's first game in the 1996-1997 season.

The Reivers (18-4, 2-0) continued their winning ways behind five players who reached double-figures and draining 11 shots from the three-point line. Freshman Naomie Alnatas tallied her career high with 28 points on 11-of16 shots after scoring 21 of her points in the first half. Jazza Johns contributed her second consecutive double-double with 17 points and thirteen rebounds. Freshman guard Elsa Pardo joined the three-point party draining a career high four threes on just seven shots tallying 12 points.

Southeast (NE) was lead in scoring by Marcia Hawkins and DeAsia Walker who scored 22 points and 15 points respectively. The Storm shot 51.0% (25-of-49) while getting to the free-throw line 28 times making 16 for 57.1%. The Reivers shot 46.2% (36-of-78) and 37.9% (11-of-29) from beyond the arc.

IWCC out-rebounded the Storm 53-17 including 27 offensive rebounds.
