COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA - For the second game of the Microtel Classic, the Reivers faced the upset minded Dordt Defenders as the contest began teams trading baskets. Zheniah Jackson broke the game out after a steal and basket in the second quarter pushing the Reivers lead to 31. The Milwaukee native poured in 16 points on 7-of-9 shooting along with 2-of-3 from behind the arc.

Sophomore Azaria Floyd put up her best game since coming off injury adding eight points on 4-of-7 shots in 19 minutes of play. The Reivers continued the hot streak from the night before from the arc as they shot a collective 50% on 9-of-18 with Naomie Alnatas sinking three four.

Dordt was lead in scoring by Lydia Sharplin who scored 12 points. Dordt shot 32% from the field on 9-of-32 shots and just 2-of-10 for 20% beyond the three.

 

UP NEXT

The Reivers hit the road to ICCAC conference member Ellsworth on Sat. December 16th. The Reivers beat the Panthers in the first match-up on Nov. 28th, 80-47.
