SEDALIA, MO.- After defeating Kirkwood Community College the previous day, Iowa Western won in convincing fashion against Shawnee Community College 101-49 and pushed Head Coach Lindsey Vande Hoef to her 100th career win in the second day of the State Fair Tip-Off Classic.
Iowa Western took full control from the tip vs. the Saints shooting 54.4% from the field on 37-68 shots. French Guiana freshman guard Naomie Alnatas led the Reivers in scoring with 20 points on 7 of 11 shooting from the field. Kiara Dallmann notched her first career double-double of her college career scoring 15 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Other impactful freshman were New Jersey native Zhan'e Williams who dished out 9 assists and Julia Raflund recording 13 points and 3 blocks.
The win over Shawnee pushed Vande Hoef to her 100th career win. The Reivers will open up at home for the first time this Friday Nov. 9th vs. #25 Western Nebraska and Saturday Nov. 10th vs. Briar Cliff JV. Both games will start at 5pm CST.
