Freshman Faith Linga took the top spot in the Women's race, while fellow underclassman Shawn Kiptoo took the top spot on the Men's side as the Reivers raced strong at the Briar Cliff Cross Country Invitational in North Sioux City. 

The event, hosted by Briar Cliff University was a wet and muddy competition, but that didn't stop the Reivers.

Linga, already the winner of two USTFCCCA National awards, topped Kayla Christophersen from South Dakota State by nearly 3 minutes to win the event.  Nia Taylor was the next Reiver to cross the line, finishing with a time of 20:20.30

On the Men's side, Shawn Kiptoo barely edged out teammate Kassim Kibet to claim the title as the Men's Champion, running 24:37.87.  Kibet came in just two seconds after, with a time of  24:39.48

Next up for the Reivers, the teams head to Russel, Kansas to race in the Fort Hays State University Tiger Open on October 12th.
