Robb leads Reivers to second place finish at Region XI Championships

FORT DODGE, IA - The Iowa Western women's cross country team fought off the cold weather conditions to earn themselves a spot to run at the National Cross Country Championships in Ft. Dodge, IA on November 11, 2017 finishing in second place.

The Reivers earned five Honorable Mention honors on the day with freshman Asshanni Robb leading the way.  Robb turned in a time of 19:56 to capture 11th place. She was followed by Sophomore Taylor Valentine who ran a career best 20:19.9 to finish 13th. Rounding out the Reivers were Olivia Russo (20:34.5), Neri Gertaide (20:53.1), Caitlyn Juhl (20:58.7), Purity Chebet (21:39.9) and Kylie O'Malley (22:33.2).

Iowa Western will use the next two weeks to fine tune and prepare for the NJCAA National Championships to be held November 11, 2017 in Fort Dodge, IA.
