Trent Smith invitational

The Trent Smith Invitational proved to be a great trip for the Reivers.  The Reiver women were lead by 8 personal best performances.  The top runner for the women was sophomore team captain Olivia Russo who ran her career personal best of 20:09 for the 5k. Neri Getraide a freshman from Israel came of the injured list and ran a 20:16 for our 2nd. spot and right behind her freshman Asshanni Robb 20:17.  Caitlyn Juhl and the rest of the women also ran huge personal bests as well for the day. The ladies won the Trent Smith team title with 22 points. Coaches are very excited about how the women's team has responded to training and looking forward to post season running.  The men's team also had a very exciting race as well.  Freshman Brian Kitur sprinted to the finish to edge out Walh Khat former NIACC All American to a 2nd. place finish. Brian's time was 25:47 a new seasons best for him as well. Sophomore Dennis Kibowen also hit his personal best with 26:28.  The rest of the men raced well  with a host of others running their season bests. The men finished 3rd. over all. The coaches are also very excited about the men's team response to training we just need to get a few people healthy for post season.  The Reivers will be in action October 29, 2017 for The Region XI Championships hosted by Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa.
