Fighting Bee Invitational hosted by St. Ambrose University

The Reivers headed east up Interstate 80 this past weekend to race at the Fighting Bee Invitational hosted by St. Ambrose University in Bettendorf, Iowa.  The race was held at Crow Creek Park.  Despite of the rainey and muddy conditions the Reivers raced very well.  This was a new meet for the Reivers so the course was unfamiliar to the program.  Thew men were once again lead by freshman Brian Kitur who placed 3rd. over all in both divisions and 2nd among the 2 yr. college division schools. (26:33.7)  Kitur's teammates Dennis Kibowen, Christopher Casart, Iren Grassrope, Daniel Reimer, Jarod Ernestie, Michael McCall, Dean Hansen, Jaquell Williams, and Shannon Howard all had personal bests marks for the year.  The men finished 7th. out of 12 teams and 3rd. in the 2 yr. school division.

Asshanni Robb lead the way for the ladies with a 20:37.7 in the 5k just off of her personal best.  Teammate Purity Chebet ran her personal best for the year as well.  The ladies were missing a two runners this week but managed to pull off a 5th. place over all finish and a 1st. place finish in the 2 school school division.

The Reivers will finish up their regular season this coming Friday at the Trent Smith Invitational hosted by North Iowa Area Community College on their campus.  This meet was set up as a memorial for a former NIACC runner. We are very honored to be able to be a part of this event and pay our respects to his family, friends, teammates, and coaches.
