Reivers Wrap Up Regular Season

NORFOLK, Neb. - Iowa Western Women's Soccer closed out their regular season with a 2-0 victory over NJCAA DII No. 5 Northeast CC.  The Reivers opened up the scoring in the first half as Lou Brossault threaded a pass into the box and Nicole Navarro Aguilar buried it in the right side of the net.

In the 2nd half, as the rain started to pour, Marta Llopis flicked a backheel pass to Lou Brossault and the forward took the shot with her left foot across the face of the goal to the far side-netting to make it a two-score game.

Iowa Western would hold off the Hawks the rest of the way, to end the regular season 11-0.  Their winning streak now stands at 29, dating back to August 31st of last season.

The Reivers now travel to Godfrey, IL for the Central District Tournament on Sunday, October 22nd.  Securing a first-round bye, they'll face the winner of Illinois Central and Lincoln Trail.  Indian Hills will take on Wabash Valley on Friday, October 20th, if the Warriors win that game and their next game vs Lewis & Clark, and the Reivers win, Iowa Western will host game 5 of the tournament on October 28th.  If either ICCAC school loses, game five will occur at Region 24.  The Central District Championship will be held on November 11th at a Region 7 site.
