Reivers Soar past Tritons

FORT DODGE, IA: The Reivers score 8 in the 2nd half to soar past the Tritons in conference matchup.

HOW IT HAPPENED:  The Reivers started the scoring off of an Anna Hall solo effort in the 12th minute who placed the shot by the keeper's near post. Mayu Inokawa scored off of a short corner assisted by Paula Boza, Inokawa rifled the shot past the keper from the top of the box in the 15th minute. Yoshiki Kitadai finished off a pass from Marie Quentel in th 24th minute. Reivers would go into halftime leading 3-0.

After the intermission, The Reivers would score in the 47th minute off of a set piece put into the box by Lucia Mei and finished by a great header from Quentel. Boza would score in the 60th and 64th minute both on solo efforts to extend the Reiver lead. Addison Moser would score her first of the contest in the 76th minute off a pass from Hall. Barbara Russo would score off of a wonderful combination play with Rylie Jacobsen and Hall finishing off Hall's pass for the goal in the 81st minute. Moser would finish her brace with a goal off of a pass from Hall for her 3rd assist of the day in the 86th minute. Boza would finish her hat trick in the 88th minute off of a wonderful solo effort that sailed into the far post netting from a tight angle. Jessica Slater would finish the scoring in the 89th minute by getting on the end of a cross from Inokawa on the back post that would deflect off a Triton defender into the goal. Reivers won 11-0.

NOTES & NUMBERS: The Reivers improve to 7-1-0 on the season. Boza would score 3 on the day bringing her season total to 10 goals. Moser would score 2 bring her total to 4 goals. Quentel scored her 6th goal and notched her 5th assist of the season. Hall scored her 3rd goal and first 3 assists of the season. Kitadai scored her 2nd goal of the year. Inokawa, Russo, and Slater scored their 1st goals of the year. Mei and Inokawa notched their first assists of the season. 

QUOTES: Head Coach Adam Sanchez: "Today we had a goal of what we wanted to do and we did it. It was a team win today, everyone was involved and it was a great response coming off of the loss to Indian Hills last Saturday. I am proud of the way we played today but we still have work to do, to get where we want to be. We now look to Iowa Lakes on Saturday and ge another opportunity to prove ourselves ".
