QUOTES: Head Coach Adam Sanchez

"Today was another great lesson for us. Tyler showed why they are the NSCAA Preseason #1 Team in the country. They punish you on every mistake that you make. However, I don't think we're that far off," Sanchez said. "We're still growing and finding out who we are and what we need to become. It's been said that 'soccer is a struggle of who you are and who you want to become.'

We know we have work to do. We know we are a ways off, but playing in these types of matches allows us to hone in on exactly what we need to do to get better. We're on it and we are excited to show progress even though it is a struggle right now, but we'll keep looking forward, lengthening our stride, and improving along the way. The group has a sense of urgency. They know the standard they need to rise to. I am still very excited on what this group can become and what we can accomplish!"

UP NEXT: The Reivers will travel to Wyoming next weekend to take on Salt Lake Community College and #4 Laramie County Community College.  Iowa Western will begin ICCAC conference play on Saturday, September 9th at Iowa Central Community College.  Match updates can be found on Twitter at @ReiverWSoccer.
