Reiver Women Finish the Year at the National Championships

The Reiver Women completed their season at the National Championships in Garden City, KS this past week. The women could never get on a roll and finished in 10th place for the tournament. "One player would have a few holes where they played well then another girl had a few holes, but we could never keep it going," said Head Coach Matt Robinson. "We just picked a bad time to be 'average', at this tournament you need to bring your 'A game' each round."

The team was led by Freshman Baylie Pyke who placed 28th over-all. Sophomore Madi Schlaepfer followed in 44th and Winnie Hung at 49th to crack the top 50.

"We took 4 Freshman to this, and I was proud how they kept fighting, and they gained some great experience for next year," said Robinson.

Madi Schlaepfer will be moving on to her next school, Northwest Missouri State. "She played a big part in our team the last 2 years and will be missed'" said Robinson. Also leaving the team will be Freshman Marley Richter who will be pursuing a career in the PGA Management School. "Marley really stepped up for us this last Spring, she put in a lot of work, and it showed," said Robinson.
