Women pick up a Victory in Newton, KS

The Reiver Women opened in good form at Sand Creek Station, hosted by Bethany College. With a team score of 316 lead by even par Freshman Baylie Pyke. The Reivers took a 2-stroke lead after round 1. Sophomore Madi Schlaepfer helped the team by recording a 79.

"It was good to see Baylie open up with a good round," said Head Coach Matt Robinson. "We had good rounds from all the players. Madi and Marley put up good rounds for us."

Round 2 brought stronger winds but the women were able to increase their lead by 6 strokes to take the victory. Pyke picked up her first victory as a college player. Schlaepfer and Marley Richter chipped in 79's to help the team.

The women will close out their Spring season April 17th and 18th when they host at Bent Tree Golf Course. We welcome all to come join and watch some great golf.
