Reiver Women Conclude Fall Season with 2nd Place Finish

The Reiver Women had a solid final tournament to conclude their Fall Season. Up against a field that consisted of all NCAA DII teams, the women fought hard during the 2 days to finish as Runner-Up Champions. Lead by Emily Spies 73 on day 1 the women sat 4 shots back from eventual Champions and host, Northwest Missouri State University. Spies led the field by 5 strokes to sit in 1st place. Kassy Vest, Marisa Weeks, Maya Northcutt and Abby Depperschmidt all were bunched together after day 1 (84, 85, 86 and 89 strokes).

Day 2 brought a STRONG north wind with gusts up to 30 MPH and 10 degrees colder. Weeks stepped up to challenge in the conditions and had a solid round of 82. The 82 represented the 2nd best round for the day. The round helped Weeks end the tournament Tied for 4th place over-all. Spies was able to hold on and finish in 2nd place alone.

The Women finished the Fall season with 2-first place finishes, 2-second place finishes and 1-third place finish. A solid season to build on as they head into the off season to get ready for the Spring! Spies ended the year with 3 top 5 finishes, Weeks had 3 top 10 finishes, Northcutt 2 top 5 finishes and Vest a top 10 finish.
