Fifth Ranked Reivers Prepare for Final Stretch

The Iowa Western Women's Basketball team is enjoying a 20-3 record so far this season and an NJCAA DII #5 ranking, maintaining a Top 10 status throughout the season. The Reivers are in the thick of their ICCAC regular season slate and are currently 10-2 with wins over every conference opponent.

Notable wins so far this season comprise of a 70-67 home win over NJCAA DII #4 Kirkwood Community College, a 101-72 road win over NJCAA DII #18 North Central Missouri College, and a 71-61 road win over Iowa Lakes Community College who is also receiving votes in the NJCAA DII rankings. The Reivers also have 4 wins over NJCAA DI opponents including a 81-79 win over NJCAA DI #21 North Dakota State College of Science.

So far this season, Reivers have been chosen for ICCAC Athlete of the Week on 8 occasions. Aleshia Jones and Ndidiamaka Ndukwe have both been chosen twice. Caela Tighe, Courtney Fields, E'Laiyah Heard, and Jamyah Winter have each been chosen once. E'Laiyah Heard was also awarded with the NJCAA DII National Player of the Week for her performance during the week of November 30th to December 6th.

Iowa Western finishes out their regular season schedule with 4 important ICCAC games against tough opponents. The Reivers travel to Des Moines Area Community College on February 15th and then to North Iowa Area Community College on February 18th. The Reivers then return home to play Northeast Community College on February 22nd at 5:30pm and celebrate 'Sophomore Night' in Reiver Arena against Iowa Lakes Community College on March 1st at 5:30pm.
