Reivers Enter Conference Play 7-0

Iowa Western women's basketball remained #5 in the NJCAA DII rankings this week after two home victories over NJCAA DI North Dakota State College of Science and NJCAA DII North Platte Community College last week. Ndidiamaka Ndukwe was also named ICCAC Athlete of the Week on November 22nd after averaging 18.0 points and 6.5 rebounds a game the week before. 

On November 23rd, Iowa Western defeated the NDCSC Wildcats 81-79. The Reivers were led by Courtney Fields (13 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists) and Isabella Paradowski (13 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks). Other significant contributions came from Caela Tighe (12 points), Aleshia Jones (10 points), and Hannah Burg (8 assists).

On November 26th, Iowa Western survived a 4th quarter come-back bid from the North Platte Knights for an 88-72 victory. The Reivers posted an impressive 25 assists led by Mikayla Huffine with 8. Other major contributions came from Caela Tighe (24 points), Hannah Burg (13 points, 5 assists), and Ndidiamaka Ndukwe (12 points). 

Conference play begins this Saturday, December 3rd in Reiver Arena as Iowa Western hosts Ellsworth Community College at 1pm. Iowa Western then continues ICCAC play with a four-game road gauntlet starting with Southwestern Community College on December 7th
