Iowa Western Shotgun Sports National Champions

2022 ACUI DIVISION 4 CHAMPIONS

In just the fourth year of existence, Iowa Western Shotgun Sports brought home their first team national championship.  

The Reivers and William Penn both broke 2708/3000 targets over six different disciplines throughout the competition, with Iowa Western earning the 2-year crown, and William Penn was awarded the 4-year title.

The story of the championships would be Doubles American Trap.  The Reivers defeated Lindenwood University by a score of 487 to 482 and became the first 2-year school in the 55-year history of the championships to win an event.

Iowa Western swept the top three spots out of all four divisions and 636 competitors. Sophomore Mitch Germany was perfect in the event, breaking all 100 of his targets, giving him the individual title.

2023 NCSSAA DIVISION V CHAMPIONS

 

After seven days and thousands of targets, Iowa Western Shotgun Sports claimed the 2023 Division V title at the National Collegiate Shooting Sports Athletic Association National Championships.

The Reivers topped the nine-team standings in five of the six disciplines over a week of competition.  Iowa Western won Doubles Skeet, Doubles Trap, Super Sporting, American Skeet, and Sporting Clays en route to the victory.  Their lone loss was a second-place finish in American Trap, by just two targets.  The team also won the High Overall with a total score of 1394.

2024 ACUI Division V Champions

Iowa Western Shotgun Sports brought home a national championship for the third year in a row.  The Reivers topped Iowa Central 2788 to 2745 to win the High Overall for ACUI Division IV.  IWCC won Skeet, Doubles Skeet, Doubles Trap, and Sporting Clays en route to the title.

Freshman Abby Johnson was the lone individual national champ for Head Coach Derek Pollock, winning the Women's Class B Trap.
