This week the Reiver Shotgun Team competed in their season opener against the Iowa Central tritons. Sophomore John DeFord had the overall top score for the day with a 98/100. He also won in a shoot off against Iowa Centrals William Shatzer.

Overall the Reivers had total score of 484/500 targets, narrowly missing Iowa Centrals total of 487/500. Coach Pollock commented, "Hopefully this loss will leave our athletes hungry to get better. We have a long season ahead of us so I hope we are ready to work."
