Softball Splits the Week 2-2

Council Bluffs, IA

The Reivers went 2-2 over the week, dropping two games to #3 DMACC on Wednesday before beating State Fair and NIACC on Friday.

DMACC

Game one was a pitchers' duel the whole game.  Emily Brouse through a five hitter, only allowing two runs, however, IWCC couldn't get anything going offensively with just two hits.  IW would lose 2-0.  Game two had more offense but DMACC would take it 9-3.  Camryn Milley homered and Amayia Hernandez along with Myla Beckstrom both doubled for the Reivers.

State Fair

Iowa Western bounced back strong following their two game skid, Emily Brouse would strike out 11 while throwing a no-hitter to win 10-0.  Jael Wilde homered twice in the contest.  Olivia Valdez and Amayia Hernandez also hit homeruns.  Libby Walls also had two hits, driving in three runs.

NIACC

Another pitching gem, this one from Ava Knoll, led the Reivers to a 12-0 victory.  Knoll threw all five and allowed just two hits while striking out nine Trojans.  Camryn Milley provided much of the offense, going 3-3 with 6 RBI's, including a double and a homerun.  Myla Beckstrom also homered for the home team.
