Reivers Drop Four in Cedar Rapids

Reivers Drop Four in Cedar Rapids

Cedar Rapids, IA

The Reivers took on #2 NJCAA D2 Kirkwood on Sunday and Monday, dropping all four games in the series.

Offensively, the Reivers were held in check over the four game set and struggled defensively as well.  The lone bright spot on the weekend was freshman pitcher Libby Walls getting five innings of works surrendering no earned runs in a 5-3 on Monday.

"We are a little banged up at the moment and some new faces will have to step up," said Head Coach Ben Greer.  "Clearly we didn't do that over the weekend and I hope this was an eye opening experience that will help us grow as the season continues."

The Reivers will be back in action at home on Wednesday against Southwestern CC.  First pitch is slated for 2pm.
