Iowa Western softball finished 1-3 in the Southeastern Dome tournament.  The Reivers started off the weekend with three consecutive losses to #12 (NJCAA D II)  Illinois Central, #6 (NJCAA DII)  Kirkwood, and John Wood. 

Iowa Western ended the trip with their first win of the season against Spoon River. Offensively the Reivers scored 13 runs off of 13 hits. Leading the offense were freshmen, Brook Melnychuk and Chloe Brown. Melnychuk went 3-4 at the plate with a grand slam, a double, and 5 RBIs. Brown went 2-3 with a double and 2 RBIs.  In the circle Sophomore Julie Katz pitched a shutout, recording 7 strikeouts and 3 hits in 5 innings pitched. 

IWCC heads down to Texas February 21st to take on #4 Tyler Junior College.
