Men compete at Sand Creek Station

The Reiver men looked to redeem themselves at Sand Creek Station Golf Course. Playing there in the fall season left the men wanting to perform better. On Day 1 they met the challenge and improved 10 shots from their fall rounds. Lead by Freshman Ethan Smith with a 73 followed close by Max Nielsen and Cooper Hansen's 74 put the men's team in 2nd place behind highly ranked Indian Hills.

"For us to get back on that course was big for us," said head Coach Matt Robinson. "Since the National Championship will be held there in a few weeks, I wanted the team to see it again and get rid of the demons, before post season play."

Freshman Calen Bishop, playing as an individual, shot the best round for the Reivers with an even par 72 and sat in a tie for 6th place. "Bringing a few new players this time down there and those that played back in the fall gives us a lot of options to put together the best 5 players come post season," said Robinson.

Day 2 brought together conditions with the increase of the wind. The men were not able to make up any ground on the field. Smith and Hansen finished in a tie for 11th place.

The men will close out their Spring season competing at the 'Howl at the moon' Invite hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan on April 16th and 17th. The players will all compete as individuals, so a team score won't be kept. They will then move into post season play.
