Reiver Men's Bowling Lead Qualifying at the Mustang Open

SIOUX CITY, Iowa - The Iowa Western bowling teams concluded their first semester events this past weekend at the Mustang Open hosted by Morningside College.  The Reiver men's squad led all qualifiers with a team score of 8,782 pins over six traditional games and 16 baker games; 29 pins over second-place Hastings College.  Individually, the team was led by freshman Kaleb Anderson who finished second overall with a score of 1,271 for the six games.  Reece Kelly followed with a score of 1,205 in his six games. For both individuals, this is their second all-tournament team placing.  Rounding out the individual scores, both Cameron Brundage and Michael Taylor tied for 11th place overall with scores of 1,155 each.  

On the JV side of the tournament, freshman Zane Cairo won the individual title with a final score of 1,163, defeating the second-place finisher by 82 pins. 

The Reivers will be back in action on January 15th and 16th at the Kegel/ISBPA Midwest Collegiate Classic in Addison, IL.
