Reiver Men Finish 14th at Bronco Open

Reiver Men's Bowling placed 14th out of 15 varsity teams over the November 17th and 18th weekend at the Bronco Open in Hastings, NE.

"We continue to show flashes," said Coach Chad Goodwin. "In the middle of team games on Saturday, we posted back-to-back solid sets. However, with the conditions we face, we must maintain discipline on every shot, and that's where our focus is, on being consistent, both mentally and physically. We are gaining valuable experience."

Andrew Gibbs knocked down 982 pins over six traditional games (with a high game of 208) to finish 64th. On Sunday, the Reiver Men posted a high baker game of 212, which was the highest in the men's division for game five.

Both the Iowa Western men's and women's teams next compete on November 24th and 25th at the National Collegiate Team Match Games in Fairview Heights, IL.
