Still Sailing!  Reivers Heading to Mississippi for NJCAA Playoffs

Iowa Western Football has much to be thankful for this week.  For the second straight season, the Reivers have punched their ticket to the NJCAA Playoffs.

The final rankings were released just after 2:30 pm Central time on Monday afternoon and it will be third-ranked Iowa Western (8-2) heading to Senatobia, Mississippi to take on #2 Northwest Mississippi (10-1) on Sunday, December 4th at 5 pm CT from Ranger Field.

The Reivers and Rangers are the only teams to repeat from the 2021 playoff field as #1 Hutchinson (10-0) will host #4 Coffeyville (8-2) in the other semifinal matchup on December 3rd.

It will be the second all-time meeting between the two teams, with Iowa Western victorious in the 2017 contest at the Graphic Edge Bowl in Cedar Falls, Iowa.  

The Reivers' will be making their way to Mississippi for the second time in program history, having played East Mississippi in the 2014 NJCAA National Title Game in Biloxi.

The game will be broadcast free on Iowa Western's 100,000-watt FM radio station, 89.7 The River, with Jake Ryan, Russ Nelsen, and Josh Odson on the call.  The contest can be viewed on ESPN+ with a subscription.
