Faith Linga Named USTFCCCA Athlete of the Week

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA

Reiver Cross Country Freshman Faith Linga was named Monday as the NJCAA National Athlete of the Week by the USTFCCCA.

Last Friday Linga placed 2nd at the Augustana Twilight Race, her first as a Reiver, setting a school-record 5k time of 16:47.

Linga's time was nearly two minutes better than Shanieke Watson's mark, which had stood as the record since 2015.

Both Women's and Men's squads have the week off from competition before heading to Mahoney State Park in Ashland, Nebraska for the Woody Greeno Invitational on September 21st.
