COUNCIL BLUFFS, IA.- NJCAA No. 2 Iowa Western extended its winning streak to 11 on Tuesday night with a straight-set Sophomore Night win over Marshalltown.
Coach Alicia Williams said her team "took care of business" in the 25-14, 25-14, 25-8 Iowa Community College Athletic Conference win.
"I thought our first contact was a little shaky today, but I thought we played good enough," she said.
The Reivers have won 33 of 37 sets since their last loss, on Sept. 22.
IWCC's sophomores are Savannah Downing, Irina Alekseeva, Ariana Macies, Brooklynn McCain, Beatriz Giordan, Alyssa Oswald, Morgan Bossler and Hina Pua'a.
