Women Have A Strong Meet At Friends Invite

Wichita, KS-  Iowa Western Women's team put together got some great weather and great performances over the weekend at the Friends University Spring Open. The Women's team qualified ?? athletes this weekend to the national championship meet in Hobbs, NM.

 

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

  • Sierra Coward finished 6th in the 100h running a time of 15.23
  • Aliyah George finished 7th in the 400m with a time of 59.66
  • Amya Clarke ran a time of 12.22 in the 100m finishing 4th
  • Neri Getraide won the 800m with a time of 2:26.52
  • Accacia Hinds ran 1:09.04 to finish 6th in the 400mh
  • Christine Irving won the 200m with a time of 24.62
  • Amya Clarke finished 4th in the 200m with a time of 25.42
  • The women's 4x400 team finished 2nd with a time of 3:58.68
  • Patricia Johnson finished 2nd in the women's long jump with a jump of 5.80 (19'0.50
  • Samiya Abu-Youm finished 5th in the triple jump with a jump of 11.36 (37'3.25)
  • Rochelle Ann-Bailey was the runner up in the discus with a throw of 42.35 (138'11)
