The Reivers opened up the outdoor season this Thursday at the Wayne State Open in Wayne, NE. and had 5 National qualifiers. Freshman Keyon Burton wins the Javelin with a throw of 56m which put him 3rd on the NJCAA leaderboard and only 1m off the school record. Rochelle Ann Bailey also has a great season open meet throwing the discus 40.69m qualifying her for the national meet and placing her in the top 10 on the leaderboard. Freshman Denzel Dowing takes 3rd in the 100m with a time of 11.03. Sophomore Marcus Klein wins the 400m Hurdles with a time of 55.05 good for 5 on the NJCAA leaderboard The Reiver jumpers lead the way taking 1st 2nd and 3rd place Marcus jumps a 6.92m good for 3rd David Ejumeta takes 2nd with a jump of 7.09m and had a foul of over 8m and Reiver new comer Dexton Crutchfield wins the long jump with a PR of 7.55m which is the biggest jump in all of the NCAA divisions.
