Reivers' Anderson Inducted as Part of 2019 Hall of Fame Class

COUNCIL BLUFFS, IOWA

Women's Soccer had another past member immortalized on Friday in Council Bluffs as the Iowa Western Athletic Department held the 2019 Athletics Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Kasandra Anderson, from Nibley, Utah and a member of the Reivers 2012 National runner-up and 2013 National Championship squads joined Greg Timmer (Men's Soccer), Cherelle George (Women's Basketball) & Doug Kroll (Baseball) in the Athletics Hall of Fame.

Anderson earned the 2013 NSCAA National Player of the year award after leading Reivers women's soccer to the 2013 NJCAA Championship, guiding the Reivers from her midfield position. 

She garnered first-team All-Region honors during her two seasons in Council Bluffs.

After graduating from Iowa Western, Anderson attended Utah Valley University where she made an immediate impact for the Wolverines.  Returning to her home state of Utah, she started all 44 games during her career, tallying 30 career points (9 goals, 12 assists) and served as team captain both seasons.

For her efforts, Anderson was also named to the All-Western Athletic Conference team both seasons and was named to the NSCAA All-West Region team after guiding the Wolverines to their first-ever WAC Tournament Title and NCAA Tournament berth.

Anderson is now a Police Officer in Sandy, Utah after playing professionally with the Utah Red Devils following her collegiate career. 

She joins the 2006-07 and 2007-08 Women's Soccer squads as representatives of the Women's Soccer program in the Reivers Hall of Fame.
