Women start the year with a Victory

The Women's golf team started off the season with a win at the Peru State College Invited, played at Table Creek Golf Course in Nebraska City, NE. The ladies jumped out quickly on day 1 and posted a team score of 306 led by Sophomore Madilyne Schlaepfer and Freshman Baylie Pyke with scores of 74. Sophomore Katie Graham followed with a 78 and Freshman Wen-Yi Hung and Brook Diekemper rounded out the score with an 81 and 88 respectfully.

"We have a very young team this season," said Head coach Matt Robinson. "I wasn't sure what we would post or how the Freshman would play. I was pleasantly happy with their play."

Day 2 brought similar scores as the women posted a team score of 311 to win over College of St. Mary's by 40 strokes. Schlaepfer picked up her first career win by shooting a 75, Pyke ended up in 2nd place and Graham rounded out the top 3 for the Reivers. Hung finished in 6th place while Diekemper and Marley Richter finished 9th and 10th.

The Reivers are back in Action Sept 14th and 15th in the Briar Cliff Invite in Sioux City, IA
