Katz and Lee Earn ICCAC Player of the Week honors

 The Reivers sweep ICCAC Athletes of the Week once more.

 

Sophomore shortstop Tyla Lee received athlete of the week.  Lee dominated at the plate this weekend batting an impressive .818. Lee hit 9for 11 this weekend hitting two home runs and driving in ten runs while scoring nine times. Not only was Lee a threat at the plate, but also showed her tenacity on the bases by stealing three bases over the weekend. Lee added to her overall success of the weekend by being a force defensively for the Reivers.

 

Julie Katz received pitcher of the week for ICCAC. The Freshman pitcher earned two wins this weekend in Oklahoma. Katz was dominant in the circle throwing a no-hitter into the fourth inning against North Platte. Katz, assisted by relief pitcher Michaela Epp, threw a one-hit shut out. Katz tossed 6.1 innings this weekend allowing only three hits and one earned run. She also struck out four batter. Katz success in the circle has lead her to a 1.91 ERA so far this season.
