DAVENPORT, IA

It was a hot and sticky start to the season for the Reiver Men's Cross Country team but that didn't affect the outcome as they had three men finish in the top 50. The men were led by Freshman Gavin Klein who finished 13th overall.

The race definitely reflected Gavin's 1st two weeks of training. The Nebraska native ran a solid first mile getting out in the middle front to put him in position to compete well. Coach Bierbaum had nothing but great things to say about Gavin's performance "He followed the race plan and put himself in a great spot" the second half of the race "He continued to pick people off all the way through the finish line". 

Sophmore Daniel Reimer had a productive day as well as the Omaha native finished 25th overall. Steven Hinze finished the day off for the Reivers finishing in the top fifty coming in at 48th. 

Next up for the Reivers is the Augustana Twilight Friday August 31st.
