The #2 ranked Men and Women had a historic weekend split across two different meets.

School records fall

Friday, Geoffry Ronoh won the 3000m at the Tyson Invitational in a school record time of 8:00.88. Ronoh's time was good for the 2nd fastest time in the NJCAA. Teammate Jacinto Gaspar originally broke the school record running 8:16.13 in the heat prior to finishing just ahead of teammate Barnabas Ndiwa who ran the 3rd fastest time in school history in 8:16.37. This race saw 3 runners all under the previous school record set by Mo Kowa in 2023 of 8:17.39.

Michael Francois ran the 3rd fastest time in the NJCAA this season to break the school record running 46.85.

Ethel Amissah ran an indoor personal best en route to improving her national standing to 2n-d and the 2nd fastest time in school history in 54.86. Nikkolai Kennedy hit a new personal best running 8.08 in the 60m hurdles the #6 mark in school history.

Strong showing at Ichabod Invitational

In the field events, Paul Rowden had a very strong showing at the Ichabod Invitational leaping his way to a national lead and tying the school record of 2.10m in the high jump. Rowden came back the following day to jump a personal best in the long jump with a 7.42m, good for 8th nationally. Mercy Honesty also ascended to the national lead in the triple jump with a 12.44m, the #2 mark in school history. Jayla Brown followed in a collegiate-best of 11.98m and Sakina Umar moved up the national rankings to #3 and #9 respectively.

Donald Lamp and Natalie Albert had big days in the weight throw. Lamp heaved the weight out to 17.71m for the #3 mark in the NJCAA this season, while Albert moved to 5th with a 16.27m effort.

Sarai Simpson continued her impressive freshman campaign with a 14.45m toss to improve on her 3rd-place national standing.

On the track, Angeline Estrada had a pair of all-time performances in the middle distances. Estrada ran a 1:35.86 in the 600y to move to #3 in school history and #6 in the nation this season. She doubled back the next day with a 2:16.30 in the 800m to move to #2 in school history.

Tiago Sabino won his heat to hit a national qualifier clear and away running a 1:56.35 in the 800m.

Mo Kowa ran a 4:07.17 in the mile to move to #5 in the nation and #2 in school history. Jacinto Gaspar also ran a 4:14.60 to finish with a national qualifier.

Sien Van Vuren ran a national qualifier in the mile running 5:06.32 to post the #2 mark in school history.

Barbara Nieva ran a solid 10:07.57 to post the #3 time in school history an #5 in the nation.

Hailey Martin had a strong performance in the 60m hurdles running a personal best of 8.82 to move to #6 in the nation and school history.

Wallace Afflamah ran a personal best and national qualifier of 21.45 in the 200m to move to #5 in school history.
