Council Bluffs, IA- The Iowa Western men's team finished 2^nd at the Region XI Championships held at Iowa Western Community College. The men finished with six individual champions while Kassim Kibet collected the most points on the men's side winning the 5k, 10k, and 3k steeplechase.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

• Jonathan Whitcomb finished 1^st in the Decathlon with a point score of 5897. He also won the pole vault and placed 3^rd in the open Javelin.
• Davon Hare-Ellis finished 4^th in the men's hammer throw with a throw of 48.62 (159-6), 4^th in the javelin throw 36.11m (118-5), and 6^th in the shot put with a throw of 13.00m (42-8), 6^th in the discus with a throw of 42.84 (139-4)
• Khalil Scott finished 4^th in the long jump with a jump of 6.73m (22-1)
• Kassim Kibet finished 1^st in the 10k, 1^st in the 5k, and 1^st in the 3k steeplechase
• The men's 4x800m relay finished 3^rd with a time of 8:47.10
• Johnie Jean-Jacques finished 3^rd in the shot put with a throw of 15.01m (49-3), 5^th in the discus with a throw of 43.05 (141-3)
• Malik Redd finished 5^th in the triple jump with a jump of 13.88 (45-6.50)
• Brandon Magnuson finished 7^th in discus with a throw of 41.13 (134-11)
• The men's 4x100 finished 2^nd with a time of 41.70
• Denzel Downing finished 1^st in the 110h with a time of 14.29
• Andrew Paster finished 5^th in the 110h with a time of 15.40
• Jaquon Burns finished 6^th in the 110h with a time of 15.54
• Aldo Zavala finished 4^th in the 1500 with a time of 4:09.18
• Daniel Reimer finished 7^th in the 1500 with a time of 4:18.01
• Chevannie Hanson finished 2^nd in the 400m with a time of 47.11, and 2^nd in the 200m with a time of 21.07
• Jacobi Agee finished 8^th in the 400m with a time of 50.33

• Aarron Westmoreland finished 4^th in the 200 with a time of 21.92
