Wichita, KS- Iowa Western men's team put together got some great weather and great performances over the weekend at the Friends University Spring Open. The men's team qualified ?? athletes this weekend to the national championship meet in Hobbs, NM.  

MEET HIGHLIGHTS

• Kassim Kibet finished 1^st in the 10k with a time of 31:53.43
• The men's 4x100 team (Malik Redd, Chevannie Hanson, Denzel Downing, Aaron Westmoreland) finished 3^rd with a time of 41.37
• Denzel Downing finished 2^nd in the 110h with a time of 14.65
• Jaquon Burns ran a time of 15.20 in the 110h to finish 5^th
• Chevannie Hanson finished 7^th in the 200m running 21.62
• Iowa Western's A team 4x400 relay finished 4^th with a time of 3:22.71 while the B team finished 7^th with a time of 3:30.04
• Johnie Jean-Jacques finished 3^rd in the shot put with a throw of 14.82m (48'7.50)

Davon Hare-Ellis finished 4^th in the hammer throw with a throw of 48.66 (159'8')
