MARYVILLE, MO- The men's team had a strong showing at the Bearcat Invite hosted by Northwest Missouri State University. They finished the weekend with seven top ten finishes for the weekend. This was a great tune up meet as they will begin championship season next weekend with the Region XI Indoor Championships.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- Daniel Reimer finished 8th in the 1000m run with a personal best time of 2:38.78
- The men's DMR (Gavin Klein, David Gamble, Aldo Zavala, Kassim Kibet) qualified for nationals with a time of 10:21.33 that is the 5th fastest time in the nation
- Chevannie Hanson finished 4th in the open 200m with a qualifying time of 21.88
- Denzel Downing finished 6th in the open 200m with a time of 22.18
- Kassim Kibet was the top collegiate finisher in the 3k with a time of 8:28.90 that moves him up to 4th in the nation
- Jaquon Burns finished 6th in the 60mh with a time of 8.68
- Andrew Paster finished 7th in the 60mh with a time of 8.69
- Johnie Jean-Jacques finished 12th and qualified for nationals with a toss of 14.66m

The Reivers are back in action next weekend for the Region XI Indoor Championships at Buena Vista University February 16th & 17th.
