Reivers End Weekend in Dominating Fashion

The Iowa Western men's soccer team continued their excellent run of form with an 11-0 victory at the Reiver Sports Complex Sunday afternoon against Central Community College-Columbus. Freshman forward, Eduardo Telles scored two goals within the first 15 minutes of the match and the Reivers went on to score 6 goals before halftime. Mario Magana, Damia Viader, Fitzroy Cummings, Nicolas Torres, Theo Le Calve, Diego Ribeiro, Quinton Kipara, and Fernando Zaragoza (2) accounted for the rest of the Reiver goals. Damia Viader led the way with 3 assists and Mario Magana contributed 2 as well. Theo Le Calve, Diego Ribeiro, and Nathan Thomas had the other assists for the Reivers. The Reivers did not allow a single shot on target and have now kept a shutout in all four matches thus far, while scoring 25 goals. Looking forward to next weekend, the Reivers will host Laramie County Community College and Northeastern Junior College on Saturday and Sunday in what figures to be a good test for the surging Reivers.
