Reivers Improve to 3-0 on Lonne's Brace

Goals were hard to come by Friday afternoon against John Wood Community College despite the Reivers taking 13 shots and keeping possession of the ball almost the entire game, but a brace from freshman defender, Jacob Lonne helped see the Reivers through to a 2-0 win at the Reiver Sports Complex. After scoring with his head in the preseason, Lonne continued his goal scoring form with two second half headers off of set pieces assisted by Nicolas Torres and Theo Le Calve. "I think the performance was okay, but it was really a story of two different halves. We played too slow in the first half, but we responded well in the second half and I'm happy to help the team to a win with two goals thanks to excellent service on our set-pieces," said Lonne. The Reivers improved to 3-0 on the season with the victory.
