Iowa Western men's soccer team beat the Eagles of Scott Community College in an ICCAC matchup at the Reivers Sports Complex. Both teams had one great chance in the first half, but the score remained 0-0 at half time. Freshman forward Raul Meneghetti had a good look at the goal from 8 yards out, but his one time shot was sent over the bar. At the other end, the Eagles had a chance from the penalty spot, but they also put their effort over the bar. When the half ended both teams combined for one shot on target.

The second half started better for the Reivers as they converted on a corner kick in the 49th minute. Sophomore defender Massimo Baron was able to find freshman defender Victor Tosi running in at the back post for the one time volley to beat the Eagles keeper. The Reivers doubled their lead in the 60th minute when freshman midfielder Quinton Kipara played a neat 1-2 pass with sophomore forward Tanner Miller to get into the Eagles box and lift the ball over the rushing keeper. Five minutes later Tosi found the back of the net for his second of the game as the ball was loose following another set piece. Meneghetti was next on the score sheet as his well timed run down the middle of the field was seen by sophomore midfielder Matheiu Peyreblanque. Meneghetti poked the ball over the keeper before stopping the ball on the endline. He then had to cut back for a better angle to beat the recovering Eagles defenders. Meneghetti found the net again in the 87th minute when he pick up a rebound and placed the ball past the Eagles keeper. The 88th minute saw two goals from the Reivers as freshman midfielder Mauricio Dos Santos found Kipara in the box to finish low past the keeper, and then Dos Santos scored himself from the penalty spot to make the final score 7-0.

The Reivers move to 4-4 in the conference which puts them tied for fifth place with Northeast CC.
