The Reiver men finished 3rd at the Derek Dolenc Invitational hosted by Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville at the Gateway National Golf Links in Madison, Illinois. The field consisted of 16 NCAA Divsion I programs with Iowa Western being the only NJCAA team in the field. On day 1 the men started by shooting a 294 putting them in the middle of pack. Freshman Adam Van Raden opened with a career low 66. That afternoon the Reivers fired a team score of 285 which moved them up to 7th. On the final day shot the 2ndl lowest round of the tournament, 277. Three Reivers carded under par scores as the Reivers moved up 4 spots to 3rd. Tom Westenberger and Adam Van Raden tied for 4th with a 5-under par final score.
Southern Illinois - Edwardsville won the event with a 10-under par total. A team that includes former Reivers, Albert Nilsson and Parker McEachern.
The Reivers tee it up again when they host the Bent Tree Intercollegiate on October 1st and 2nd in Council Bluffs.
