The Reivers kicked off their season at the Klocke Family Classic hosted by Mt. Mercy University at the Hunter's Ridge Golf Course in Marion, IA. The 15 team field played a wet and soft golf course due to all the rain in the region lately. Sophomore Clay Kucera got off to a blistering start in round 1 by shooting a new school record, 64. His round saw 8 birdies and no bogies. Freshman Adam Van Raden carded a 2 under par 70 and the team opened with an even par 288. After round 1 the Reivers held a small 2 shot lead over Mt. Mercy and was 4 clear of the #1 team in the NJCAA, Indian Hills.

In round 2 Van Raden again carded a 2 under par 70 and sophomore Tom Westenberger fired a 68 to lead the team to a 291 team score and a 579 total for the event. The round was good enough to hold off the field and earn a 2 shot victory over Indian Hills.

Adam Van Raden led the Reivers with a 4 under par total finishing in a tie for 2nd. Tom Westenberger finished with a 3 under par total and a T4 finish and Clay Kucera also earned All-Tournament honors with a 2 under par total to finish 6th.
