Reivers finish 5th at National Preview, Durnford 4th Individually

The Reivers shot even par 864 over three rounds at the NJCAA National Preview in Lubbock, Texas. The team earned a 5th place finish amongst the strongest field of the season. Sophomore Joel Durnford led the Reivers with a 4th place finish and two other Reivers finished in the top 15. Durnford fired rounds of 67, 72 and 71 to finish 6 under par for the tournament. Fellow sophomores Albert Nilsson and Parker McEachern finished 13th and 15th respectfully. Nilsson started the Preview with a 75 but finished strong with rounds of 71 and 70 to finish even par. McEachern shot rounds of 74 and 73 on day 1, then finished with his low round of the season, 70, in the final round to finish 1 over par for the tournament. McLennan Community College from Waco, Texas, won the Tournament by shooting 16 under par, 848. Julien Sale, of Indian Hills, was the individual champion with a three round total of 207.

 

The National Preview was the final event of the fall for the Reivers. The team will begin off-season workouts and practices and will be back in action in March of 2018.
