The Reiver golf team won the Blue River Classic with rounds of 297 and 286 over two days and two different courses in Lincoln, Nebraska. Day one was played at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club and scoring was difficult. The team battled winds up to 25 mph on the demanding course to shoot 297 and take a 13 shot lead. Joel Durnford led the way at the halfway point with a round of even par 71. Day two was played at Highlands Golf Course where scoring was much better. Sophomore Albert Nilsson shot the low round of the tournament, 66, to lead the way for the Reivers. The team fired a two under par 286 to earn the 12 shot victory. Joel Durnford carded another 71 to earn the individual title. Albert Nilsson earned runner-up honors and six other Reivers finished in the top-15. The men tee it up again on September 25th at the Derek Dolenc Invitational.
