Men fight back in Hastings.

Hastings, NE

The men's bowling team travelled to Hastings, NE for the Bronco Open over the weekend of November 16-17th. The Reivers came out of the gates slowly placing them 12th of 14 midway through Saturday. Putting the first 3 game block behind them, the Reivers returned to form with a couple of 900s to end the day and moving up to 9th.

Sunday was more of the Saturday afternoon team and quickly made a move into the top 8 with a first 4 game baker block of 694 followed by a 704. Heading into the last 4 game block the team had fought back to 7th, with 6th in the sights. Unfortunately the last block was a drop from the previous ones leaving the Reivers in 8th just 65 pins behind Drury University (6th) and 48 pins behind Kansas St (7th).

Coming in as the 8th seed meant another matchup with the tournament leader. This week it was Hastings College. Just like their first meeting at the Midland Invite it ended in a loss 2-1 after taking game 1 from the Broncos.

"The guys showed some resolve after the bad start on Saturday, ultimately the start was our downfall, but we did make another cut and took Hastings to the wire." Coach Goodwin said.

The team was led by Tim Lincoln who finished 25th overall with a 1108 for his 6 games.
