Wade Votroubek

Wade Votroubek is entering his first year as assistant men’s basketball coach at Iowa Western in 2023-24 season.

Votroubek spent the last four seasons at William Penn University where he assisted the team in recruiting, scouting, player development, and other operational tasks. During his time as a graduate assistant from 2021-23 and a student assistant from 2019-21, Votroubek helped the team get to an overall record of 116-11. In those four years, the program would win four straight conference regular season championships and four conference tournament championships. In his two-year stint as a student assistant for the varsity team, Votroubek was also an assistant for the varsity reserve program.

Before coaching, Votroubek was a player at William Penn for three seasons. In his playing career, the team would post a record of 53-17 with a trip to the Final Four and Sweet 16 of the national tournament.

Votroubek would graduate from Oskaloosa High School in 2016. He also earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management in 2021 and his Masters of Sports Management in 2023.
