Reivers Earn Sweep over Iowa Central

FORT DODGE, Iowa - The Iowa Western Reivers earned the regular season sweep over Iowa Central with an 85-79 victory in Fort Dodge. The Reivers struggled to get defensive stops in the half-court for much of the game, but Iowa Western had success in the full-court press. The Reivers caused 15 turnovers which helped swing the momentum in their favor. 

 
The Reivers found themselves down by 3 points with under 4 minutes remaining. The Reivers would hang tough and Ikenna Ude-Smith had a few baskets and free-throws late to give Iowa Western a 3-point advantage with under a minute. The Reivers fouled on the ensuing possession but the Tritons would miss the free throw. With under 30 seconds left the Reivers kicked the ball to Emion Galloway who nailed the game-sealing 3-pointer to extend the Reiver lead to 6 points with just 15 seconds remaining. The Tritons would miss a 3 and the Reivers escaped with a tough road win.  
 
Ikenna Ude-Smith had an impressive 26 points and 8 rebounds to lead Iowa Western. Emion Galloway scored 15 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. Champ Calamese knocked in a few big 3-pointers and finished with 13 points and 6 assists. Donavan Seamster also reached double figures with 11 points. 
 
The Reivers are now 16-12 overall on the season, and 9-7 in the ICCAC. Next, the Reivers will host #5 DMACC on Saturday. Iowa Western will honor the Sophomore class before the 3:00 pm tipoff.
